and graphic artists. If you're looking to gain experience through

College Students: Earn Credit with an Internship at Web Presence!
College students can earn credit with a telecommuting internship at Web
Presence! To find out if you are eligible for credit with your internship,
contact your designated internship coordinator.
About the Program
Web Presence offers three internship positions:

Site Design
•
Web
Site Development
•
Graphic
Art
Web Site Design
- Development and arrangement of graphic and text elements on a web page.
May include elements of Java or HTML programming languages.
Web
Site Development - Implementation of database and e-commerce features to an existing
site. May include elements of advanced Java or HTML, as well as PHP,
MySQL, Oracle, and/or VB.net programming languages.
Graphic Art -
Development of custom graphics, including logos, hyperlink buttons, banners, stand-alone
animated graphics, or Flash elements.
Our program is designed
to offer quality experience-based learning, to compliment existing theory-based
education relating to web development and/or graphic design.
Application
To apply for an internship with Web Presence, candidates must submit
a complete resume, along with two (2) unique references, to: internships

Upon
receipt of your resume, you may receive an e-mail requesting
a teleconference-style interview. The interview will consist of questions
relating to your educational background and work history. A typical interview
is approximately 15-30 minutes in duration.
Internship Assignments
Once your application is approved, you will receive a series of three
evaluatory assignments, used to gauge your skillset and design capabilities.
These assignments are non-paid, and are necessary to assess your design capabilities
and work ethic.
Interns are welcome to use any editing or
design software package to develop projects. Web Presence does not provide
software required to complete evaluatory or paid project assignments.
After
completing each assignment, project feedback will be provided, citing
positive aspects as well as areas for improvement. Upon completion of all
three assignments, a final performance assessment will be issued, along with
a pass or fail status for the evaluatory phase of the program.
Paid Projects
Interns who successfully complete the evaluatory phase of the program
will have an opportunity to perform paid work, as an independent contractor.
Projects are made available to our approved designers on an as-needed basis.
Information regarding paid assignments will be provided by your Web Presence
internship supervisor.
Part- and Full-Time Employment Opportunities
